An Official Scholarship Preliminary to the Miss Alabama and Miss America Pageants
Briana's platform is the American Diabetes Association, which is a nationwide, community -based voluntary health organization whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Through the Stop Diabetes(R) movement, the association hopes to end the devastating toll that diabetes takes on the lives of millions of individuals across the nation.
Briana is combining her skills in public speaking and vocal performance to share her passion for being a champion in the fight to stop diabetes - to help raise awareness, inspire others to get involved, to promote healthy living and raise money to fund educational outreach, advocacy efforts, and critical research that will ultimately stop diabetes once and for all.
Briana will be competing in the 2012 Miss Alabama Pageant June 3-9, 2012 as a representative of the Greater Birmingham Metro Area.
